To ensure the success of the new curbside recycling program please make sure to follow cart recycling guidelines. Place only recyclable items in the cart because any prohibited material can contaminate the whole batch of recyclable material. 

Accepted In Blue Cart:

Paper
  • White and Colored writing paper    
  • Computer Paper, Magazines,  
  • Newspapers with Inserts    
  • Junk Mail    
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Cereal/Cracker Boxes  
  • Phone Books    
  • Books (Soft/Hard Covers)

  • Brown Paper Bags
Shredded paper is accepted.
Shredded paper is the only item accepted in a clear plastic bag. Please place shredded paper
ONLY in bag before putting into cart.

*Glass can be recycled at any of our drop off sites around the City of Albuquerque. Glass just cannot be recycled in cart program.
