Logging Litter with we.grow.eco after Community Park Cleanup

On Saturday, October 2, 2021, Keep Albuquerque Beautiful along with the City’s Solid Waste Management Department and Parks and Rec Department assisted Noah and Chauncey of we.grow.eco with a community cleanup at Westgate Community Park. Together using litter grabbers and burlap sacks, we collected 5,387 pieces of litter from the park — all of it logged using the One Piece A Day app. Check out some of their photos from the event here. As of Oct. 13, they’ve collected and logged 29,274 pieces of litter.

Currently, Chauncey is in the process of walking coast-to-coast, picking up litter along the way and connecting with communities. Noah is driving a support vehicle as they make their journey to San Francisco. The two started their journey in Virginia Beach, VA back in March 2021. Follow their journey here.
