Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, in partnership with Fuse Makerspace, is excited to host this year's Fix It Clinics! This free, all-ages event provides a unique opportunity for participants to bring their broken household items—such as bikes, small appliances, electronics, and sewing projects—and learn how to repair them with the guidance of experienced coaches. Instead of sending these items to the landfill, attendees will learn valuable skills in assessing, disassembling, and fixing their belongings.
The Fix It Clinic is more than just a repair event; it’s an educational experience that fosters sustainability and creativity. Last year, we had over 50 coaches assist more than 180 participants in diagnosing and repairing their items, with attendees expressing high satisfaction from the hands-on, expert assistance they received. In response to the increased interest, we're hosting a fall and a spring Fix It Clinic.
Join us for a day of learning, problem-solving, and community building as we work together to give new life to broken items and reduce waste in Albuquerque!
Interested in Becoming a Coach?
We’re actively recruiting volunteer coaches with experience in sewing, woodworking, leatherwork, electronics, small appliances, jewelry repair, and general troubleshooting. Register to become a FixIt Clinic coach through the One Albuquerque Volunteers website.
