From Closet to Classroom: Successful 12th Annual Recyclothes Clothing Drive

Through the blistering cold weather this early April weekend, Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, in partnership with Locker 505, camped out in the Hinkle Family Fun Center parking lot for the annual Recyclothes clothing drive. All donations went to Locker 505, a local organization providing clothing and supplies for students in need in Albuquerque. Donations poured in all day, from brand new clothing to closet cleanouts, along with books, school supplies, toys, and more! We were able to collect 3.72 tons of items to be donated to Locker 505. We had 245 cars come through and were able to fill an entire open-top bin full of clothes and supplies. A huge shoutout to all the community members who flowed in to donate and to the amazing 20 volunteers who helped us collect the donations from cars. We appreciate you and could not have done it without you.
