From Littered to Lovely: One ABQ Cleanup Day

In neighborhoods throughout Albuquerque, Neighborhood Associations, schools, churches, and individuals came together to clean up as part of the Great American Cleanup in celebration of Earth Day! Keep Albuquerque Beautiful (KAB) provided FREE cleanup supplies including litter grabbers, bags, gloves, and trash bags, as well as free pickup of all litter collected by these groups.

We had 50 groups participate with 1,194 volunteers wielding litter grabbers to collect trash. By the end of the day, they had successfully collected 3.33 tons of trash. We appreciate everyone who joined and could not have made it happen without all these amazing volunteers!
