Lifting Spirits, Lifting Litter: Fiesta Fanatics Prep for Balloon Fiesta!

In preparation for the 2024 Balloon Fiesta Celebration, Keep Albuquerque Beautiful (KAB) organized a citywide cleanup event to help keep our community clean and litter free. Our annual Fiesta Fanatics event brought together groups from all over Albuquerque, encouraging residents to organize cleanups through their neighborhood associations or to join us at Balloon Fiesta Park for a large-scale litter cleanup.

Equipped with gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers, dedicated volunteers readied our city for this beloved celebration. In just one day, participants collected an impressive 4.2 tons of litter citywide!

This year’s Fiesta Fanatics event was a resounding success. Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who helped make it possible.
